How to Join ADNOC Schools Community
ADNOC Schools usually open Admissions in November each year (date to be confirmed) for the next academic year. The earlier you apply the better. Easy application no hassle! Admissions will be dependent on seats availability.
- All applications are digital and submitted online through our website. We have no paper applications.
- All you will be asked for at this stage is some general information about your child, parents, contact details, background and attachments.
- You can expect to receive a confirmation that we have received and reviewed your application within 5 business days
- Applications can move to Step 2 if seat is available.
Please Note: Applicants to ADNOC Schools are selected based on academic achievement and good behavioral records. The Admissions Committee considers current capacity at the recommended grade level, student aptitude, and social/emotional maturity, with special attention given to each applicant’s prior academic and non-academic records in school, as measured by grades.
If there is no availability, applications will be placed on the waiting list up until the start of the academic year in case of any openings. If nothing opens, applications on the waiting list are not automatically moved to next academic year and applicants are advised to reapply for each year.

- KG1 and KG2 Students: Are invited to attend an Early Learning Interview. The purpose of the interview will provide a basis for the school to assess school readiness and levels of maturity. Please be advised that at ADNOC Schools, we expect all children to be fully toilet-trained when starting school.
- Grade 1 and Grade 2 Students: Classroom based assessments are conducted on an individual basis. The student will complete a written assessment in English and Math independently.
- Grade 3, Grade 4, and Grade 5 Students: Undergo a Computerized basic Entrance MAP Exam. Students’ results of the MAP test are used to ensure that students have the right level of knowledge and skills needed for a certain grade. We then review the results to ensure that there is a good match between our learning environment and the child’s needs.
- Grade 6 to Grade 12 (Middle and High School Students): Undergo a Computerized Admissions Entrance Exam Test in Math and English. For successful admission to our school, the applicant student must pass Math and English. Note: Grade 11 and Grade 12 students are also required to complete additional assessments for the elective Science courses. Following a successful examination, follow-up meetings will be held with the School Career Counsellor to discuss options and other potential academic entry requirements.
Make sure to be ready to provide:
- Applicant’s passport copy or Emirates ID (uploaded in online application)
- Latest 3 years report cards (uploaded in online application)
- School Recommendation letter filled by current school.
Please note: Failure to fully disclose information about a child’s additional learning needs, may put your child’s place in school at risk.
The accepted applicants receive an email with a registration link to continue the admission formalities and upload the required documents.
The Admissions Team will formally communicate with parents after completing the registration procedure and send the placement offer. This communication will include a Registration Fee invoice for 5% of the tuition fee which is payable at the school campus or via Bank Transfer. For Grade 2 and above: Please note, the school shall apply ADEK guidelines relevant to transfers from schools delivering other curricula (i.e., UK National Curriculum for England). Terms and Conditions
Admissions terms and conditions have been established to ensure that students are appropriately placed in ADNOC schools. The right placement will ensure that admitted students fully benefit from the education offered and are more likely to have a successful learning experience.
Parents agree to abide by the following Admissions & Registration Policies of ADNOC Schools:

Admissions interview/assessment will not be scheduled until all required documents are submitted.

Acceptance will be based on the student passing the admissions interview/ assessment and the availability of space.

Exam results are issued within ten working days of date of exam.
-
Normally after the issue of exam results, no request for re-testing or sharing of results will be accepted.

Failing in submitting the admissions requirements within ten working days from the first admission e-mail and failing in attending the assessment scheduled will lead to return the application to the waiting list.

Applicants transferring from the English National Curriculum will follow the American curriculum’s ‘grade system’ as per The Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) terms and regulations.
Applicants are admitted to their classes under the following conditions:

Registration fees must be paid within one week of acceptance. If payment is not completed, acceptance will be retracted.

Provide a release/transfer from the student’s previous school and non-outstanding balance in their payment status for valid registration purposes.

All applicant documents are valid and submitted to the school.

Applicants applying to KG1 grade level must pass the interview and must be toilet trained. If not, ADNOC schools reserve the right to cancel his/her attendance in the school.

Applicants with medical, chronic health conditions, and/or EAL and additional support needs will be offered the support appropriate to their needs. These applicants will be considered as long as it is determined that the school is able to fully accommodate their needs and that the school is the correct educational placement for them. Any offer of a place to such applicants, or applicants who are determined to require additional support after starting school, may be subject to the provision of additional support. In such cases, applicants must follow the Terms and Conditions of ADNOC Schools policy for admitting Students of Determination, sign a separate undertaking letter, and pay for the provision of an Inclusion Assistant to provide 1:1 support (an additional 50% of tuition fees of the grade applied).

During the current situation of Covid -19, most of the applicants are accepted based on provided documents without assessment / screening. In case after joining, the school discovered that a student is POD (People of Determination) who require an external assessment or a shadow teacher due to the misleading of information provided by parents, the school has the right to notify the parent that their son/daughter will not join the second term if they don’t comply with the school recommendations to provide the external assessment or a shadow teacher. If the outside assessment indicates that the student’s need is mild to moderate and can meet the needed support required, then the school would be able to continue deliver services. If the assessment indicates Moderate to severe needs and the school is unable to deliver the necessary support, the parents will be notified and requested to withdraw the student with immediate effect.

For students who intend to transfer between ADNOC branches, parents must inform the admissions officer in the current branch to proceed with the transfer, which is subject to the availability of space.

Any misleading or inaccurate information will lead to cancellation of the application and/or dismissal of the student.

All Parents/Guardians must abide by school rules and regulations stipulated by the policies of the school.

Admissions Survey
As ADNOC Schools continuously strive to make parents experience better, parents will receive a survey after acceptance about their admission process experience and their feedback which will allow ADNOC Schools to enhance its services and serve parents better.
There are four branches in Abu Dhabi and Al Dhafra Region (Sas Al Nakhl, Madinat Zayed, Ghayathi and Ruwais). Each branch contains three campuses (Elementary Campus, Female Campus & Male Campus), except Ghayathi which has only Elementary campus. Please check here for the location of each campus.

At ADNOC schools, we are committed to offering an inclusive curriculum to ensure the best possible progress for all our students. We have a fully staffed SEN department that provides support services to students of determination through quality-first teaching, push-in, pull-out, and inclusion assistant support. Our trained staff write the IEP (Individual Education Plan) for the students based on their needs. For more information about SEN department please click here.
Note: An extra 50% of the school fee will be added to students receiving Special Education Services. The parents will need to sign the Tuition Fee No Objection letter upon admission and/or diagnoses and this will not apply for those who provide a shadow teacher.
The admission team can give you an update on your application at any time, you will only hear back from us when a seat becomes available. Our waiting list will stay active until ADEK (Abu Dhabi Department of Education Knowledge) closes the transfer date between schools in the same region. However, we can request parents to sign an undertaking that the students may go through the enrolment process and once a seat is available, we can request for payment to expediate the process and save time.
We do not assign a waitlist number to any application. However, siblings and ADNOC employees will always receive the priority and all other applications are considered subsequently.
Our staff are qualified individuals coming from a variety of nationalities. ADNOC Schools staff have around 45 different nationalities.

ADNOC Schools follows the American Curriculum, utilizing the Massachusetts Framework in addition to the MOE curriculum for the Arabic and Islamic courses.
Our course offerings encourage students to work towards our wide range of AP level courses in their senior year. However, we have comprehensive course alternatives and electives that allow each student to create the most beneficial and relevant high school schedules for himself or herself as an individual.
No, they will not have to repeat a grade. They will be placed in the equivalent next grade, keeping in mind that British schools start school one year earlier as they have a different numbering system as shown on the table below.

Assessment/Interview outcomes are issued within 10 working days from the date of the assessment or interview. Please be advised that we do not share the test results and ADNOC Schools reserves the right to refuse requests for repeating tests or interviews.
ADEK approval is required for Grade 10 and above for students coming from British curriculum, after being selected and accepted, below are the steps to finish the registration:
- The school will provide you with the No objection letter for seat availability in the applied Grade.
- Any applicants transferred from British Curriculum to American Curriculum in Grades 10, 11 and 12 are subjected to obtain MOE Approval by applying via MOE link: https://www.moe.gov.ae/en/eservices/servicecard/pages/certequivalentmove.aspx
- You should apply once you receive the End of Year Report Card.
- In logging to the link, you should fulfil the requirements for MOE approval once it is fulfilled successfully it takes around 1-3 weeks to receive the MOE Approval.
Parents may contact the admission office of the current branch and apply online through the school website to the designated campus which is subject to seats availability. All documents must be submitted prior to acceptance.
As per ADEK’s new rule for the age cut-off date, KG1 students must be 4 years on or before 31st of August. No exceptions.
Yes, it is possible if it comes before the closing date announced by ADEK which is usually in October. You may contact the Admissions office for the updates and seats availability and once your child has been selected and accepted after completing the registration, you must pay the registration fees including the first installment.
Yes, it is subject to space availability.
Note: Full residency documentation must be submitted within one month of arrival.
No, the application is free. You only need to fill in the online application form at the website and upon the successful registration, you can pay the registration fees.
The registration fee is payable after the student has been offered a place and parents have accepted the offer. The registration fee is 5% of the annual tuition fee and is deductible from the total tuition fee for the academic year and as per ADEK policy it is non-refundable.
